About Us

Historically, Pride Magazine created the Sunset Jazz Festival to give back to the community. For the past 23 years, the festival has produced great outdoor jazz concerts and other entertainment for Charlotte and surrounding areas. The festival traditionally showcases local artists, and has featured performances of jazz groups from cities such as: Baton Rouge, Raleigh, Kansas City, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles. Our audience is continuing to be more diverse and consists of jazz enthusiasts, families and individuals from various ethnic groups, who come together to have a relaxing and fun-filled day filled with live music.

We are currently in the planning phase for our 23rd Annual Sunset Jazz Festival for Saturday, September 13, 2014. The festival will be designed to ensure that the outdoor portion of the festival remains free, and enhances the experience of the event from both the corporate and community perspectives.
